Just wanted to post a message regarding waning lights that came on after i removed the wiper motor to grease the unit and especially the pinions.Once i had reassembled the wiper motor on my v6 auto mk11,the two warning lights came on. This caused the auto box to change gears with a bang and also would not go into fifth gear.Called the dealers who had no idea as usual and recommended a diagnostic check and possible new gearbox!. I then noticed my trip computer had reset,as i had not disconnect the battery it made me think.I then decided to disconnect the power for approx 2 mins,reconnected and hey presto everything was back to normal.
