  1. Mike What can I say but WOW What a difference And not sure if the PILOT kit has smaller ballasts but I was able to install the whole lot within the light casing so no drilling or grommit needed Once again thanks and if anyone else is considering getting a set .........What are you waiting for !!!!!
  2. Got them BUT I have a quick question Am I missing something in the kit ? :D I can't see the 22mm gromit or am I being blind ????
  3. Ford have version which is exactly the same. Factory fit only BUT You can retro fit if you replace the fasia and buttons and buy an adaptor for the wiring loom. Oh and a GPS antenna. The most important thing to fit is the gala wire or sat nav doesn't update position correctly All items are available on ebay
  4. Was driving last night and noticed that the alarm light was flashing very fast. As this car is only 6 months old anyone got any ideas ???
  5. Cheers for the heads up Looking forward to getting my hands on them
  6. Chromedome, any chance of a photo of your install ? Would be interested in the placement of the ballasts. Do they need to be mounted any particular way ?
  7. Not sure about the MOT side but...... The police in my local area have been pulling the boy racers over and now have a meter which tests light transmission through tinted windows. Anything less than a very slight tint fails and a notice is issued which makes it illegal to drive the vehicle. They have to leave the car there and then and have 14 days to remove the tint.
  8. chromedome Thats excellent help Thank you very much. Although your right I do have a 6000 it looks the same as the pic. I'll let you know how I get on :(
  9. OK Thanks guys for the feedback That throws up more problems as its not what I thought it was. This is my problem :) I am fitting a cradle car phone kit which has a stereo adaptor lead which is for ISO leads. This worked fine in my previous SHARAN but the ford stereo doesn't have ISO leads. Not a problem I thought, so off I trot to get an adaptor for the stereo wiring but the leads are not in the right place. Can someone please tell me the power plug lead colours and what each lead does. From memory there are 5 cables and 2 are brown. :( Help this makes sense and if not apologies
  10. Can anyone identify the lilac coloured lead which is on its own separate yellow plug on a 6000 cd radio. Its bundled with the speakers but plugs in the middle bank of sockets on its own Any ideas ?
  11. Hi GSMguy Can you confirm how much a kit would be for a 2005 Galaxy Zetec Many thx Dulux72
  12. Hi there Point 1 is normal. The glow plugs only come on when the outside temperature is below a set temperature. As the weather gets colder you will notice the glowplug light will stay on more and more. The reason that the light comes on if you remove the temp sender is that the ecu thinks that the engine is freezing and therefore warms the glowplugs. If the ecu thinks that the engine will start without the need for the glowplugs it will not power them up. Hope this helps
  13. Don't know if this is of interest to anyone but Winford Ford just outside bristol supply the local airport with their fleet of Galaxy's and when these cars hit 40K there sold. Cars are 115 TDi Zetecs They are currently hitting 40K in 4 - 5 months They're on the forecourt for
  14. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but in CAP clean example is only worth about
  15. How old is it ??? I have access to CAP so I'll give you quite a good idea
  16. Well guys here's the update Car went to dealers 10 days ago and we collected it today. Temp sensor was replaced for the 3rd time NO CHANGE BUT if sensor is disconnected car starts fine. Reconnect it and car will labour and not start for 10 - 15 seconds but only when warm. Dealer checked timing, sensors and in the end said that the fuel pump was to blame. I'm not convinced. The car starts fine when cold and has no problems once running. I have told then to put the car back togetherand i have brought it back home. Anyone got any ideas???? could it be a faulty ECU ???
  17. Thx Masked Marauder I am taking the car to the dealer on Monday and I'll let you know the result. It would be a great car if the bloody thing would start :D
  18. Ok Just to set a few things out. The chip is plugable, came from a reputable source and is currently removed. Fault wasn't there when chip first removed and has been getting worse since regardless of whether chip is in or not. I drive with heavy boots and therefore the engine is unlikely to be 'clogged' Also remember that performance isn't effected once the engine is running. I have no flat spots, no lack of power, runs as sweet as a daisy. Even with my lead boots on is currently doing about 48 mpg. The engine is a complete pig to start which becomes considerably worse when the engine is warm. Once started I love the thing. Is there a sensor which detects engine temp and adjusts timing etc for temp ??? Cheers Dulux
  19. Ok guys Its definitely worst when the engine is warm. Checked fuel filter and drained water....only a diesel in there. Is there a sensor which changes the timing when the engine is warm ? If so do these fail ???? Help!!!
  20. Thx for all the response Tonight when I get home I will try all of the suggestions and let you know Once again many thx
  21. I'll give it a try. Its driving me bloody mad !!! I'll let you know how I get on
  22. Hi there Has anyone got any ideas why my 1999 tdi is very difficult to start. Hot or cold it labours for up to 10 seconds before firing. Once running its fine. A new battery has made no difference Any ideas before I take it to the stealers
  23. PM me your address and I'll send you a copy of mine
  24. I must recommend my local VW dealer Oval of Westbury in Wiltshire. Ok I know that this is a Galaxy Forum but we all have hybrids. The service department has been excellent and has fixed all faults that I have encounted so far including Bad starting when warm (Fault engine temp sender) and very noisy idle (seized alternator belt tensioner) which was diagnosed by another dealer as a failed air con clutch at
  25. :D If you can give me the M number which is on the side of the radio I'll get you the code FOC
