  1. Thanks matey. Got a whole new door today. Just trying to find any topics about fitting.
  2. Thanks davetech. I now have a problem with the front passenger side electric window :(. The problems are coming thick and fast, lol. Anyone know if it is easier to replace the whole door or the electric window mechanism??? I've had the panel off and the mechanism is shot, the wire is shredding as it is out of the runners and kinked to buggery. The door could do with replacing anyway as there is a patch where the top layer has badly scuffed.
  3. Thanks gregers. I did find the thread and followed it to the letter. I now have a fully working remote central locking car, whoop, whoop. Only thing is I couldn't for the life of me get the retaining clip back together so have bodged it together with electrical tape :(
  4. Hi guys and gals, I hope you are all well. I just wanted to introduce myself to you all. I bought a silver 2003 Galaxy 2.3 Zetec last Saturday. Lovely, well looked after motor with history and the last owner had her for 10 years. She drives very nicely. Anywho, On Wednesday I had a problem, setting off to work I couldn't get her started, all the lights on the dash came on but she just wouldn't fire and I thought great, bought myself a lemon. I tried contacting the garage where I got the Galaxy from and they were as much help as a chocolate teapot. I was weighing up my options, whether to pay the cost of getting the Gal back to the garage and demanding my money back or pay the excess on my breakdown cover to see if they could diagnose the problem. Either was going to cost, then I stumbled across your site relating to Relay 30 and in particular read the post by Guest_grahamm_*. What a godsend. I followed all he instructions to remove the offending item in the hope it would remedy my issues, then tried to source a replacement. This was actually difficult as Ford did not have the relay in stock but could get it in for the following morning. I went to Volkswagen, they didn't have it in stock either but ordered it from one of their other branches for the same afternoon. £20 and a few pence later, the Gal is purring like a kitten again. I am enjoying reading the posts and I will be attempting another, what seems to be a common fault, fix of the central locking system tomorrow. So a big thank you for your wealth of information so far :) Regards, Mike.
