Just jumped in my MKII Galaxy and found none of the drivers door electrics (windows/mirrors/LED) are working...when I locked up last I also had to do it with the key in the door, as when I clicked the remote it locked and then unlocked and triggered the alarm when I opened the door. Should I be looking at fuses or wiring in the door loom? TIA

From what I've read that's true of programming it to the immobiliser, but programming a remote is done using a sequence of turns on the drivers door lock so does not necessitate two keys...could be wrong though. If anyone has an 05 plate with an original remote key, I'd be very grateful if you could tell me what details are on the key after the Siemens 433.92mhz bit...

Thanks for your reply....do you know why this won't work if cloned? Have spent the past 2 hours reading everything on the forum about remote keys and can't find any more info on this. My assumption was that I can get the key cut and transponder cloned to allow starting of the car, and I can then use the guide on this forum for programming remotes to program the new key to unlock/lock remotely.

Thanks for the confirmation.So it looks like I can buy a remote key blank on eBay to be cut, and chip cloned, locally and then program the remote myself with a sequence of turns in the driver's lock?

Hi guys, We recently acquired an 05 plate Galaxy which has come only with one, non-remote, key...would this have originally had a remote key? And if so, is it possible to get a replacement? Thanks in advance!
