Thanks for the tip. Ford here in Sweden say the loom isn't available and the complete ignition packet would need to be replaced at a cost of approx EU2000 !!!! Do you have a part number that I can quote ?

Hidy, Our galaxy is showing similar symptoms, but the 'decay' is much worse. I was wondering, one year later, how your fix was holding up or if you came up with some other longer term solution.

My gal has recently started hissing when you release the brake pedal. Did you get it checked out? What was the outcome ?

Am I paranoid? Living in Sweden, it is quite common to travel long distances which gives you the opportunity to get very familiar with your cars little quirks. I have noticed two little clicks closely following each other, seemingly from either side of the dash and immediately there is a very slight stutter from the engine. Comments ?
