last month my x reg galaxy caught fire in the engine. it started on the left hand side near the wiper and within minutes spread across the other side.it had recently been serviced and i assume no electrical fault was found.iwas wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or can shed any light as to what might have caused it ot catch fire. :) i think i am in the wrong section.sorry if it is.

thx for the reply yes the outside lights are working.after jump start i take it for a long run and the car works fine for a couple of weeks. then i need to jump start it again, only this a lot thing stopped working as i explained. i guy who fixed it says its not the alt.maybe i do need to change the batt.but i need the radio so is there another fuse box elsewhere besides the one by drivers knee?

Hi all, Not sure if this is the right section for this question. Need some help please,recently i have had to jump start my galaxy once a week at least. Anyway a couple of days ago all my internal electics stopped, i.e. radio,indicator lights heated seat, hazzard , screen heater. I got various item fixed but the guy who fixed says he needs to get behind the radio to see what's wrong. could this be right cos i have already checked th fuse which by the steering wheel and thats not blown. i would be very grateful for some help.

just to add all the internal lights, radio, heated seats, windscreen heater are not working. is there a 1 fuse to fix this.any info is urgently needed as its the only car i have i can't drive it at the moment

Hi, Need some help.I have a Galaxy Auto 2.8 v6 2001. recenly I am problems with my battery which I am going to change soon.today I jump started my car and now the indicator and central locking on my key are not working. could it be fuse issue or something else?

my indicators work fine and i have checked the bulbs they r ok. i was told by a mechanic that the switch is at fault but was charging over

Hi, I have Ford galaxy X reg 2001 V6 2.8. the problem I have is that the rear middle brake light works but the two sides don't. I have checked the bulbs and wiring and its ok. I do get a malfunction light on the dash and i believe there is some sort of switch under the steering column. If there is can anyone what its called and point me where i can get it or how much. Early response would be greatly appreciated as I going on long distance this friday. thanks

thank u for that evss its possible u r right i only left it on for 30mins as per ford instructions. i rang blaupunkt and they said to leave the car on for 1hr at least until it reset to 0000. so thank u all for your help. i shall report back if it works.

i cant contact the manufacturer because i and ford dont know which model it is or who the make is behind the ford badge.i once was told it by FORD RNS MFD system excatly like this one(http://www.blaupunkt.com/de/7612001040_main.asp). the way the dail works is that on the screen you get number 0 to 9 and u use the dial to highlight the number and press the dial to select.now the dial does not allow me to highlight the numbers.

its not the screen. i get the info come up to put the code in but the dial which u use to input it does not work. now its possible it needs a special code to activate the dial so that i can input the code that i have.

it is not a stolen item. i had the repaired because the radiator was leaking, and the mechanic disconnected th batt. i a have been to ford and they first said i need to switch the ignition on (on setting 1) and leave it for 30mins and i will be enter the code. but this did not work hence i require your help. i have joined the forum a while back but never had a problem with my car. therefore this is my first post. any help will be appreciated.

hello, ineed help with my galaxy satallite navigation system keycode. it is an x reg model 2.8 auto. i recently had to disconnect the battery. therefore when i connected it. the display is now showing safe and have to input a code using the dial. now i have the code but i cant put it i the screen looks like its frozen. i asked ford but they want
