    Best way is to Solder + Heatshrink After my first repair i had another failure about 3 months later So 2nd time around due to the brittleness of the original loom i removed some of the original loom and let in a new length of a more flexible cable and soldered in place at either end - this has been fine

    The Mk3 did not come out till 2006 and was pure ford. The Mk2 (Ford / VW) was 2000-2006
