Thanks for the reply. I will try and check the stalk as I don't have any glow plug lights coming on. Regarding the windows, I have stripped out all the looms and re soldered all the broken wires. The window works but only from the drivers switch and not the passenger switch. I have power at the switch and upon pressing it I get power out and at the plug that goes on the window motor. I don't get any clicks though so thought that may be the motor has another relay type thing inside separate from the one the drivers button sends power to.

Still sounds like a broken wire to me - There isn't any relays I'm aware of. Its possible that one has broken but not very obviously so - have a full poke around inside the gaiter again and check (both front ones, and the boot as the global opening can cause some odd issues if wires have broken elsewhere) Thanks for the reply. I have done another check but all the wires seem good. I have power at the switch and when operating it I get power out so the switch is fine. The cable I assumed went to the electric motor. I have power at the motor plug too.

Ok many thanks for the reply. Hopefully someone can give me some pointers on how/where to check for faulty items. I know of a pedal switch or may be two but I'm not sure how to test them.

I am trying to sort out a few issues on a 2002 galaxy tdi Ghia. I bought and one of them is the cruse control. I have read tons of posts and they say the pump hoses split so I have had the head light out and the inner wing plastic put there is no pump there. I have the stalk so assume it should have the rest fitted. I went to the scrap yard and found 3 others but after removing the same bits still couldn't see it. Any help locating any of it would be great and help with my window problem too. Many thanks.

Hello. I bought a 2002 galaxy tdi ghia but have a problem with the passenger front window. I have taken all the looms out and fixed all the breaks but the passenger window still only works from the drivers button. I have tried swapping the n/s/f switch with both rears but it still won't work. I get a click when using the drivers button and the windows works fine but no click when pressing the passenger button. I have power and earth to the switch too. Does the motor have a separate relay built in. Hope you can help.
