I had the issue with wiper stopping half way. This was after nut on motor came off and wipers failed to move. Linkage removed to check all above details handy whilst doing this. When the wiper failed to return to bottom i removed the nut from motor and moved the wiper blades into position then reattached the nut and wipers were then correct.
