just changed the fuel rail pressure sensor on mine with a 2nd hand one. ford want to sell the whole fuel rail for £200. yet it simply screws on. job took just 3 minutes with a deep 27mm socket. you can not get a spanner on it as there is no clearance. no fuel spurted out and it ran fine straight away. will let you know on my next run if it appears to be fixed.

no crud when i thrash it. 200 miles at 80 to york and it happened too. tank of red ex and still doing it now an again. auto box but can put in gear and red line up hill to 4k yet in auto at lower revs it might happen. p1169 fuel rail pressure high but in range, mines a 2011 so can only find sensor at dealers? complete with fuel rail??? not paying £200 for a sensor. any other ideas?

if tyres are okay then why does it need alignment. a fast fit place will not do a good job as they only align the front. i know i have been through them and it drove worse after pullling to the side, took it bak in and they said tracking was fine. took it home used string and bricks to have straight line from back wheels to front. back were parralel as were front but not with each other. there is adjustment on back wish bones concentric nut bolts. used track ace lazer tracking tool and string and now all is straight an good. do not trust fast fit places.

well tank an a half of redex, and thrasing about at 3000 revs not much change really. still when i leave it in auto and boot it at 1500rpm it still oftn goes juddery then abs light flashes and goes limp mode. any ideas?

trawling the forum it seems at least 1 person had same symptoms but with out reading fault code and they just did 100 miles at 3000 revs , 75mph in 4th and seemed to clear it. will try red x and a few revs and see.

mine is doing exactly the same? did just a thrashing fix it? I must admit I drive mine gently to maximise fuel but might give this a go to see if it fixes it. but on motorways I normally do 80 might have to use 5th not 6th

mine just did the same. fisrt 2 times was wet so thought a sensor was playing up but live error code reading says fuel pressure high? not sure what is going on how did you fix yours???

hi everyone I have a mk3 2011 diesel. 60k lately when i floor it or demand more power on a hill on mototrway it flashes up the esp (skid) warning hesitates, then goes into limp mode with engine warning light on. I checked all the abs sensors and they seem fine. I managed to hook up code reader while code was still active as it clears with ignition off and on. p1169 fuel pressure senser in range but high​ I was going to change the sensor but cant find one for sale? seems the emissions 5 engine isn't listed yet up to 2010 is? are the sensors the same? anyone else had this problem? looks like the sensor may be on the mk4 Mondeo too? drjotty
