  1. Uff. Indeed that didn't sound good at all, and it was definitely due to a mistake we made: bits left over... Which is never good, yet fortunately it was just the left shaft drive retaining clip... (for we took the opportunity to change drive shaft boots too). The new boot was twisted but luckily it wasn't damaged. Now, that is why my galaxy wouldn't move anymore: http://kurosaki76l.free.fr/clutch.JPG Problem solved. Thanks for the support!
  2. Hello everyone, I have recently disassembled the clutch on my 1.9 TDi 115hp Galaxy mark 2, and thus its 6 speed manual gearbox as well so as to change the clutch disk for the old one had broken. Everything during disassembly/reassembly went quite well until we tried starting the engine and clutching in 1st: the car won't move and we get to hear a big noise as the clutch engages (I didn't fully release the clutch pedal), it sounds to me like a shaft is not in place and rattles on something. All I know is when clutching in neutral there is apparently no problem (I can fully release the clutch pedal), but if I shift in 1st I'll hear that noise as I start releasing the clutch pedal. I also tried shifting in 2nd and started clutching in and I still get to hear that noise but it is much faster. So I thought it may be the gearbox output shaft but I'm no expert and wanted to ask for advice before disassembling it again.
