Hi guys thanks for the replies. no its not just 1 door that plays up,it seems they take it in turn to not lock with every press of the key fob and once it does lock the previous non locking door will then lock and another door is unlocked. On the very odd ocassion they will all lock but most times i have to manually lock all doors. I managed to get a brand new ford loom to replace the broken 1 in the tailgate. In total there where 9 broken wires. i didnt need to disconnect the battery to change the loom as i could simply u clip from main loom before the breaks to avoid any shorts when removing broken wires. so i will try to disconnect the battery and see how i get on. Luckily i have the radio code yay! Thanks for your help guys will let you know the outcome. :)

Please help me. Ive had a problem for a few weeks with central locking. Where 1 door locks and the others dont and i do it again and a different door locks and the others dont. ive changed the tailgate loom as upon inspection found that this was beyond help and i thought this would solve the problem but it didnt. So i then checked all of the door looms and everything is fine with them, no breaks or frays or bare wires to cause a short. But it seems i still have the same issue. is there anything else i could check or maybe is there a reset sequence to get everything syncronised again??
