MATT, Thanks for the instructions on removing the door card. Just saved me a fortune :-) Local garage wanted an hour for diagnosing the problem but said it was probably the lock mechanism which needed replacing. Thanks to your instruction and 20 minutes I found 2 broken wires and fixed it with a couple of bits of wire and a soldering iron. As an aside is it common for the wires from the frame to the door to break? I found 2 broken on the rear door and 4 with missing coating :-( million thanks Old Car Owner :-)
