  1. Hi, Thank you for all the help, took it to my chum yesterday who has a box for reading codes It said it was intermittent communication with the pressure valve, the fault was cleared, engine started & AC started no codes present, we will reread them on Monday to see if it comes back after a few days. The AC still did not work. Q1 Should I get that valve changed? Q2 What are the best type I saw elsewhere people said Ebay, but there are lots of them on there I am sure this will be sorted Thank you
  2. Sunday Morning update The thing still doesn't seem to get cold but the display does not flash at all straight onto the temperature settings
  3. Thank you, will get the thing and find out what is happening. Will then come back, Thank you once again
  4. Hi Thank you for the replies, yes this has a dual system with separate temperature controls for the front and back. There are two sets of roof vents one for the middle seats and one for the back. The display does flash for a few seconds when I start up. The chaps who did it have a super machine that they put on it and it runs for 10 minutes running a vacuum to try and dry the system. Once it had been refilled with a gram of oil, the car was started and it appears as though there is a little cooling but its not AC cold, and the bloke said the compressor seemed to be fine on pressure, as the dial on his machine showed both HP and LP stages. Thank you once again Marcus
  5. Hello, I just joined the forum as i have just started driving a galaxy. I am driving an 02 Galaxy V6 2.8 which is a super car, it has been used by a family member for an eon The AC has not been used for ages before I got it, maybe last re-gassed about 10 years ago, so today went to a garage who plugged it into their machine, it sucked all a tiny amount of refrigerant out, vacuumed out the oil for about 15 minutes, then did a vacuum test for leaks which it passed, they then added 1g of oil and 1050g of refrigerant. The thing still doesn't appear to be cooling properly, the fan is running, before I left the mechanic checked on the machine it seems that compressor was working fine, the high pressure side was well up on the gauges on his machine. The garage said try it see if it improves. Anyone have any ideas please Thank you Marcus
