A few weeks ago the vent selector dial stopped working. I've found a replacement AC control unit on ebay for 100 quid, but before I fork out I thought I'd see if it could be repaired because it just felt as if something had become disengaged. After removing seemingly half the dashboard and the radio, I have discovered that there is a cable which is rotated by the dial that disappears further behind the dash, presumably into some selection mechanism. This cable however has snapped at a piece of yellow plastic and just after it goes behind the radio. Could someone explain where it is routed and what my chances are of getting it out to replace it? This is all on a 2007 Mk3 ford galaxy TDCi with LX trim level. Thanks very much in advance, Roger
