Ive checked and cant find a break in the wiring.. I ca t get the fault code untill monday so will post it then thanks

Hi ive just bought a 97 1.9tdi galaxy the red light above the temperature flashes after a few seconds ive not lost any water and also it goes in to limp mode but the engine management light doesn't come on could these be related ? Ive a a diagnosis check that says heater plug light but that works .. any ideas thanks dave
