  1. Hi I am a home mechanic just fixing my own cars so don't need a bells and whistle car scanner. I am looking for a scanning tool that can cover EPB brakes DPF regen and BMS new battery. Can anyone recommend a cheap car scanner that can cover this. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the offer but i am in Belvedere Kent so its a bit hard. I do have an update i cleaned the car with Wynns Diesel EGR 3 (200ML) - Air Intake, Inlet Valves EGR & Turbo CleanerIt seemed to fix the problem, it didnt go into limp mode and i had kickdown back, but it only lasted a day or two then it went back to as it was, so i think i need the clean it more
  3. The next thing is have a look at the air mass sensor / MAF sensor, i will try to clean that 1st, can anyone tell me is my galaxy is fitted with a Variable Geometry Turbo. someone suggested the vanes need cleaning. Thanks
  4. It as roof rails and all the seats come out. so i think it is a MK2. i have run a scanner on it but no faults come up.
  5. i think i have got this wrong a 2005 is that a mk2 or mk3
  6. its 2005 i think that is a mk3. If it is the vanes is this an easy job or does it need a very experienced mechanic.
  7. Galaxy 2005 2.0ltdi Auto On the motorway or going up a hill my car goes into limp mode, but 9 times out of 10 when i turn engine off and then strait on again while in motion the car goes back to normal. But it is doing it more and more now. i have scanner have no warning on the dash or any fault codes. I have seen loads of ideas what it could be. Richard
  8. Hi Does anyone one know how hard it is to change the brake vacuum pipe, every now and again my brakes go hard after the 1st time you depress them, then all of a sudden they will work properly again, i have read the 1st thing to change would be the pipe, but this is located at the back of the engine, do you have to jack the car up in order to get to this pipe. Many thanks
