I'm in Leicester, maybe a tad to far from you.

Does anyone know if the door (window) profiles are the same on the MK1 and MK2 ? I have a chance of a full set (4) of wind deflectors off a MK2, obviously I don't want to spend my money if they wont fit my MK1

If your lucky you may get away by just replacing the friction and pressure plates if there's not too much play in the duel mass. Also If anyone tells you to get the duel mass flywheel welded (it can be done) to stop the play, DON'T or you'll finish up ripping the new friction plate and/or gearbox to pieces.
