Good evening everyone, this is my first post so please be nice I need some help, my car has been to the garage for 2 weeks had both water pumps changed and returned to me saying it was ok, anyway spent 3 hours last night on the A10 as yet again it has over heated but cold heater inside, so I asked our garage if they have changed the thermostat and they hadn't so seeing as I had nothing to loose and the water wasn't flowing through the expansion tank I spend 5 hours today fitting a new one the old one tested as faulty although not that old, the water pump is the metal type and is spinning ok, so I read somewhere about the T on the return pipes can get clogged and was amazed to find a small plastic re-stricter stuck in the middle of the return pipe, changed and low and behold every thing is working again heating and lots of air can out of the hose, now I am confused do I need to buy a new pipe with this bit in it or can I just leave it without it in and what are the dangers involved? Thank you for you time and look forward to hearing what to do next, if this part is the reason so many galaxy 1.9 have failed why have the made such a shoddy part? mine was completely clogged.
