  1. After todays deluge I can confirm that my car is now waterproof again so my fix worked.....for now, mind you I did to my othercar a few years back and it's still OK
  2. I think from memory the speed sensor signal is on pin 9 of the cluster plug (haven't got the wiring diags to hand at the mo), if it's not working the oil warning bleeper goes off at around 20 mph, check for continuity, also check the plug contacts with a magnifying glass as they are small and deform not making a good joint. Again from memory I think pin 17 is also a source of speed for the GALA signal so you could piggy back a wire from here to the other
  3. Having removed the door seal on saturday, the lower edge was wet, so this must be the source of my leak. removed the sill trim, lifted the carpet and dried out the underlay, greased the seal on both the car side and door side with silicone grease. Floor is still dry ......remarkably it hasn't rained since!!!!! Hopefully this leak is now cured
  4. Just smeared the grease around the outer edge of the seal where it meets the door, it may well require the inner seal doing as well as I can't see any visible water stains any where which is making this guess work rather than a good old Sherlockk deduction. I dried the carpets using my Bissell Lift off carpet cleaner as it sucks water up which is a bonus.
  5. I've just developed this same footwell flooding problem as well, cleaned out the scuttles, dried the carpet/sponge, and back came the water, I too think that my 14 yo door seals are leaking. On my other car I cured the water seepage with silicone grease around the seals which has worked for several years now. I'll do the same to this car and see if it goes away as I cannot fathom out where else the water can get in
