Once the weather clears up i'll pull the doors apart its to wet here just now. strange thing is even though the alarm is sounding off it only goes through 2 cycles before stopping and the car can still be driven with no further problems until i open the drivers door ? i had thought that there was an immobiliser attached to the alarm but obviously not, i keep posting the updates incase it helps anyone else who may come across the same problem

Right guys i'm back in the car, i took the front quarter light window out put my hand through the gap and started the engine and the doors opened BUT the alarm wont go off ? the hazards and horn keep sounding off ? i've taken the No. 54 fuse out for the anti theft and alarm but that only stops the horn going off the hazards still flash and the led on the door still flashes so again has anyone any idea how to get it off completely, i tried disconnecting the battery for 5 mins but that did'nt work ?

the led on the drivers door is still flashing and ive never had any problems with the battery weather is horrendous here so i'll have a try at the latest suggestions when it calms down and post the results thanks again guys

Think its the paddles on the back of the door locks thats snapped right enough as when turning the key in any of the locks now there is no sound of the central locking moving ? still dont know if starting the engine through the ignition will override the deadlock setting on it any help with this question would be much appreciated

Just a thought will starting the engine override the deadlocking on the doors ? was going to go through the quarter light window ?

Went through that Brian but unfortunately i am still locked out do you think disconnecting the battery would get the deadlock off its driving me nuts now

I drilled a small hole through the drivers door and pushed the door handle inside the car to open the doors but it still wont open i think the deadlock is on if anyone has any ideas on how to get it off it would be greatly appreciated

I am locked out of my Ford Galaxy if i turn the key in the passenger door lock i can hear the central locking working but it wont unlock ? the drivers door barrel is just spinning, the boot lock has never worked, can the central locking on the key be reset without entry into the car ? any help here would be much appreciated

Yes it it stop starts when trying to open or close it it only started after the wiring was disconnected but i'll try your suggestion thanks again

I have just re-lined both back and front brakes but will check the brake fluid . were are the sensors situated for the brakes it sometimes goes off for a minute but always comes back on ? cheers for the info anyway

Handbrake light on the dash is staying on were is the handbrake switch and how do you replace it ?

Is there a way to reset the electric motor on the 1999 Galaxy Ghia sunroof ? the sun roof will only open in fits and starts and the same when trying to close it it happened when the previous owner took the wiring off the motor because of a leak when it was put back on this is what happened ? any help would be appreciated
