Hi mate, yes std ghia wheels. I can't work out. I'm wondering if it's got hub carriers of a bora or something similar on it ? Are petrol Galaxy hub carriers the same as diesel?

Hi folks. Has any one else got spacers on the front wheels ? Mine had em when I bought it . Took em off. When I fitted new disks and pads the wheels wouldn't go on without the spacers ? Just seems odd. It also sits low at the front. Fitted new shockers and strut top mounts and bearings and still low at front ? Thanks in advance Matt

Hi folks. Not had chance to have lap top on it , I swapped the map sensor with my mated Alhambra tonight and mine went the best it's ever gone, his was flat, they both had same numbers. Where is best place to get a new one? Main dealer ? VW or seat .

Hi, I've still not got to the bottom of the problem with my galaxy. It's very flat. No boost. Does anyone know what the map sensor should read on a live scan? Any help will be much apriciated Matt

Temp gauge works fine. Runs at 90. Fuel filter tonight. No change. Auto electrician been out in it today while plugged in. He said it's all reading correct. No codes present. ?????? It's being smoke tested tomorrow on pipes. To be sure

Auto electrician scanned it yesterday as a favour for a mate. Cleared all codes,I took it for a run. Then it came up with 17965. Checked all the n75 and the other 2 solonoids for power. Was ok.cleared codes. Un plugged mass air flow. Took it for a run. Come back. And 17965 was gone. He said either a broken or dodged wire from ECU to boost solonoid or mass air meter. Or maybe timing has jumped slightly. Put a new Bosch air meter on and not cured it. Checking timing today . Borrowed the timing tools off a mate Matt

Just spoke to psi tuning in Stoke,not far from me, meant to be very good. He said they won't look at it because it's got ford electrics? Is this right ? He said take it to ford main dealer. Is there anyone local to Crewe Cheshire that has the vag com scanner and knows how to use it.

I'm absolutely gutted. After changing the n75 valve , inter cooler, and now a brand new turbo it still does not boost right. I can only assume its in limp mode. Any more ideas or can anyone come and look who is an expert? I going to France in it next fir night. Panicking a bit now Matt

I see what you mean, if the planetary gears are turning how do I stop that while I tighten the Allen bolt ? If I took the other shaft out do you think I could see the nut through the diff?

Cheers for replying. It's not spinning the diff. It's just spinning the bolt but will not tighten or come out. It's as if it screws in to a captive nut that has come off in side ? Matt

Whilst removing the turbo from my tdi today I took the shaft out, struggling to undo the exhaust off the turbo I planned to take out the little stub piece off the gearbox so I had more room with the ratchet. I undone the Allen bolt but it just spins ? Does not pull out, I got turbo off but not sure what to do with the box now

Cheers for the replies, had a mate plug it on his lap top. Got code 17965 . I've had turbo off and cleaned with innotech, had inlet manifold off and cleaned, also cleaned the inlet / egr valve off and cleaned. Put all back together and it's exactly the same ?

Just an update, looked at it today, swapped mass air meter off a mates galaxy,made no difference, thr boost sensor was different so couldn't swap that, looked at the actuator bar/rod and it works well. I noticed it hardly boosts,I squeezed the inter cooler pipes when it was revved up and very little pressure , took intake pipe off turbo,all impellers are mint,no play and spins free as a bird, any one got any ideas, people have said look at timing but it starts instantly and ticks over perfect????????

I'll try that. Where is the map sensor??

My tdi galaxy is really flat and doesn't pull at all. Not smoking engine light is not on. Revs up well when stationary , any ideas lads Matt

Hi folks,my 51 reg tdi galaxy lost drive, ti seems the o/s drive shaft has striped the splines on the shaft and the adaptor piece what goes in the gear box. Can I buy the adaptor piece new? Is it a main dealer part only and is this a common problem, cheers Matt
