  1. Hi Brian and Silver beast, thanks for your replies. I think iv'e seen a link posted by silver regarding the fuse box but No I haven't replaced the wire or crimp, ( that will be next job asap i think) and Brian there is a fuse either side in 32 and 34, sorry if i'm being stupid and misunderstood your reply. give me plumbing any day of the week and i'm happy, give me car electrics and were talking a different language lol
  2. Hi many thanks for your replies, I have today replaced the melted fuse box so hopefully that should be ok for a while. now here's the question. is there a fuse that runs the fans? i have looked at the fuse card under the dashboard and noticed a fan symbol in number 33 which in mine is missing. not being technically minded i'm not sure if this is for the heaters (which all work) or is the symbol for them the snowflake. if it is the missing fuse what size should it be. many thanks for ur help Dave
  3. Hi all, on a journey on the M25 car park i noticed that the temp was rising whilst sitting in traffic, as it got to the red the warning came on to stop so pulled onto hard shoulder, released bonnet and found fans not working. (never had this prob last time i got caught in traffic on M25) any ideas, also, will this be related to a common prob on these with the engine fuse box melting as starting to have different electrical probs. ie rear wiper now not working, parking sensors only giving one long audible bleep when first engaging reverse then nothing after, it seems that its electrical system is dying one by one. many thanks Dave
  4. Hi and thanks. firstly where is the switch located?? is it hard to remove and secondly how do you reset it. many thanks in advance Dave
  5. Hi All, I have a 2001 2.3 with a brake light prob, whenever the engine is turned on the bulb warning light stays on. I traced this to the brake lights. replaced all bulbs but still warning light stays on. I have now noticed that the brake light sometimes work which the warning light goes out but then they wont work again despite the warning light being off. so to sum it up sometimes they work sometimes they dont ..any ideas b4 i get rear ended
  6. Many thanks Chris :48:
