HI there, It's time to change engine oil for my Ford Galaxy 1.9 tdi, 2001 I use to change oil for different car's but never changed one for galaxy. To be honest I cannot find where is the 'cork' which I can unscrew so I can take out the old oil, could someone show me a picture or at least explain where is it ? As far I have found the oil filter is next to the battery ? Also the brake pads, what brake pads would you suggest to buy ? from ebay or local garage, as I am looking for the cheapest ? As I don't have ''brake caliper tool' so I can't put the cylinder back, so perhaps the cheapest way would be buy a whole set of brake disc and pads ? I have found something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Galaxy-MK2-MPV-Without-Wear-Sensor-Comline-Rear-Brake-Pads-Service-Part-/301098261009?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A2001%7CCar+Make%3AFord%7CCars+Type%3A1.9+TDI%7CModel%3AGalaxy&hash=item461adada11 what's your thoughts ? Regards, Ed

Will check that. Has anyone tried 'TDIGraph' in free version ? It won't work on mine. -

I tried to plug into car but when I tried press 'TEST' it says ' Port does not exist' Interface:not found! Contact your hardware supplier for assistance. I assume all drivers has been installed correctly (maybe not? ) after I plug-in cable it did auto search and said drivers installed correctly. Windows 7-64bit any ideas ? -

I have ordered that cable. What's the best way how to detect any error ? Is there any preparation before I plug in ? Regards, Ed -

I did ask seller about compatibility with ford galaxy 2001 and he said: 'Hi, looking at the compatibility chart, Ford is not on it, which means it's unlikely that it would work with your car. And we haven't got the cable that works with your car, sorry. -

Again problem with the car. Will buy that cable otherwise it's killing me. Also I have noticed when car is cold it's working all right but when I have drove approx. 60 miles that problem is starting. So to be sure this cable will work with galaxy ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-GROUP-USB-COM-PORT-OBD2-II-KKL-ECU-DIAGNOSTIC-CABLE-LEAD-WORK-VCDS-LITE-409-/271036790042?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3f1b0d351a perhaps I can spent some extra money and buy something similar/same with more extras ? -

Thanks Silver, I will buy that. But it seems car drives all right, without any problem at the moment. Don't know why. -

also when I am driving sometimes (but it's really rarely) it jumps out from the gear. And when I am switching my gears it is quit noisy sometimes. Maybe problems with gearbox and next with engine ? It's a manual transmission. -
Hi there, I have issue with Ford Galaxy 1.9 tdi 2001 year car. Suddenly It won't go faster than 35 miles per hour. it just don't have power or something like that. In a past sometimes car didn't start properly. I mean I need hold starter motor 2-4 seconds to get my car on. Head gasket has been changed couple months ago. Any ideas what could be a reason for that ? Maybe turbine ? Regards, Ed
