Thanks There is definitely something jammed in the runner, so will have to drill the back bolts out. Another site also says to disconnect car battery to disable air bags, when removing seats !!

Hi all My drivers seat is jammed fully back and cannot be moved forwards. It is a captains chair and swivels as it should. I think I need to remove the seat and the base but cannot get to the rear fixings as it is jammed. Does anyone know the way around this. Any help much appreciated. KT
