I own a Ford Galaxy 2.8 Ghia 1998 and I've had it for a little while now. The problem is that the car won't start and the gears won't lock in reverse or drive. Since it will only lock in park and neutral so I started thinking so I remebered to release the shift by turning the ignition to send the power to the shift lock actuator aswell as the selector and then I pressed the brake pedal to release the lock to enable me to change the gear. However no luck the problem doesn't go away. Im not really a DYI person when it comes to cars, gas or electric. Am I missing something here? Thanks
