there is power as its only an intermittent fault for instance we went to the town centre shopping and it started fine twice but on the 3rd occasion I tried to start it and nothing so after me pushing the plug a bit more it eventually started ?

hi everyone i'm having problems (again) with my 1999 2.3 petrol auto galaxy a while ago it wouldn't start not even a sound but then I found that the plug that plugs into the solenoid on top of the starter motor was just dangling so I plugged it back in and hey presto the car started fine but now I keep getting the same problem and I've noticed that the plug doesn't click when I plugged it in so I don't think it is connected properly and no matter how hard I push the plug in it doesn't click in ? can anyone help ie is it possible to replace the plug or does anyone have any ideas please cheers rob

hi everyone I think I need to change the transmission fluid on my galaxy 2.3 auto (1999) but think its a sealed unit (no dipstick) so can anyone please give me a tutorial on doing this and also which is the best fluid to get cheers rob ps think this may solve the gear change problem for example I was doing around 55-60mph and rev counter showing approximately 4500rpm

hi everyone this might sound really stupid but that's me lol but here goes I recently bought a 1999 galaxy 2.3 zetec auto (privately) and I've noticed that I cant seem to feel the gears changing and while on a dual carriageway I got to around 55mph and the rev counter was on 4500rpm would this mean the auto gearbox is repairable or does it mean I need to replace it ? cheers rob

hi everyone its me again I think the fuse needs replacing on my 1999 galaxy 2.3 auto but when I open the fuse cove in the car there is no diagram of which fuse is which and there is no handbook with the car can anyon tell me either which fuse is for the radio or where I could get a layout diagram from please cheers rob

hi everyone I went out to start the car yesterday morning but when I turned the key = nothing not even a click so I tried using jump leads still nothing so I checked the battery which showed as being nearly flat so I took the battery off and fully charged it then put it back tried again but still not even a click all that happens is when I turn the key at position 1 I can hear a whirring type noise which sounds like the electrics getting ready but then at position 2 (attempting to start) there's not even a click can anyone help please ? cheers rob :(
