Thanks, sound like yours is like mine! Hope someone finds it useful. I've got to the point of realising I need to undo the water pipes, but I'm wary of doing it. Thank you all for the information on this site. I have a Galaxy 2005, TDI (130) Ghia. Had all the problems about cold starts listed earlier, so had the diagnostics socket read by a friend. This confirmed the open circuit on the auxiliary heater glow plug. Darn! I rang Fords, gave them my registration number, and they ordered the glow plug for me. Was gob smacked by the cost (
