I wonder can anyone help before i have to pay the ford dealer £95+vat just to connect to the diagnostic machine. I have a 2010 galaxy zetec 2.0 diesel 140 bhp automatic, 1 have 75,000 miles on her and recently she has been making an odd noise shortly after startup. it sounds like windscreen wipers scrapping across a dry screen. at first it happened only once and now after a couple of months has progressed to 3 or 4 times in the first 5 minutes of running and not again for the rest of the day. I must conffess i dont spend a lot on sevicing as i am a taxi driver and this year have had a number of other bills that have had to be paid. so i am wondering if there are any breathers to do with the aircon, auto box, pas or some that require a filter change as this noise sounds like some sort of pressure release. it seems to come from the front passenger side. Any advice would be much appreciated.
