Thanks for the info, some useful tips! It's unfortuneately the VHS system. Soon to have a small DVD unit as the aux. I may just hard wire it to the wires going to that socket. Shame it's perm live, so will have to add a switch :lol: That PDF schematic / installation doc is top notch. Thanks a lot for that, that will come in very handy The part "E" ie the plate with the buttons and sockets, is that available from Ford as mine has been kicked about abit and there is a botton missing.

Hi My mid cab Power outlet is broken( The one next to the Media controller :lol: After trying the obvious fuses I lifted the four screws keeping the centre consol down. After lifting up and contorting myself upside down to view, I see there that the black wire has snapped orf. Now how on earth do these power point unplug?? I can see the plug type affair at the rear but can't get it off. Nor does the whole plug/socket come out. Unless you know different....help please :lol:

I have no idea about ECu's, but know they are usually expensive. The power problem seems & sounds like what happened on my Vectra ( i thought the ECu at first). It was the MAF Mass Air Flow sensor. You can try and clean it with carb clean (dry thouroughly afterwards!) and see if that works. Would be cheaper and worth a go. Though eventually the Vec needed a new MAF. As for where the MAF sensor is I haven't looked yet, but a few inches after the air filter would be a good start :lol:

Sure did, however if they are called something else other than Power vents which I don't know, I won't be able to search that! Now then I could get real silly and ask about the Auxiliary Heater and say there's no other posts in my search :lol: :lol: ;) Thanks for the help, I know now. Why does only one open?? I mean there's only one switch the other side of the gear knob switch is a blank. Only one window looks as if it has the "gubbins" to open. Most peculiar, why not have 2?????? Or have I got the model where the budget wouldn't stretch to the two opening :lol:

Anyone thats bought one of these kits, does the new grill come with the Ford badge. My current one's totally minging and will ruin the look of the kit!

I have a kinda liking for all things "chromey" and was disappointed to see the 02 reg Ghia not have any at all. I found a link on this site for the upgrade kit Ford PartsUK Now is this a good price or can I just go to my local Ford dealer and get the bits seperately and cheaper?? And will the new Ghia CHROME door handles fit on an 02 reg? If so any idea of the price for a set from the parts dept? MTIA ;)
