  1. Evening all, Had my MK3 2.2 TDCI Ghia in for re-gassing and I was told the pipe that supplies the rear of the car with nice cold air was leaking due to the pipe being chaffed by the O/S handbrake cable. Is there any diagrams of the route this pipe takes because I will replace it myself seen as there's no gas in it rather than paying garage fees! Any help appreciated peeps Steve
  2. You say about not cleaning it for a while, well it only takes a thin layer dust/dirt to fool the sensor there's something there and cause faults. A way of checking them and yes you can look silly doing it, is to kneel down and put your ear next to the sensors one by one with ignition on and it in reverse and you can hear them clicking a bit like a gas hob igniter. might give you a better idea which one is causing problems. Might be worth soaking the front or rear which ever is dodgy then test them
  3. With something like that I would expect fault codes in the ECU, has it been properly scanned to see what's been logged?
  4. Its expensive as IIRC you have to replace the steering wheel and the control modules need re-programmed or even replaced to accommodate the new functions. Not something undertaken lightly to be fair
  5. It would appear so. Ours is a 2008 Ghia 2.2 and it has the switch so I would suggest you cant turn yours off. Strange as I haven't come across many cars that when fitted you can't turn it off!! Double check the warning light incase its not ESP :-)
