  1. Hi again Matt, I've checked the two topics plus checked the rest of the forum but couldn't find much - plenty of stuff concerning repair of an existing carrier but nothing about fitting a new one. However, I had a go at doing it myself. I could see that there are two holes in the carrier unit and corresponding holes on the underside of the car. Fortunately, I found two ideal screws in my tool box and fixed the carrier into place. The only thing that concerns me is that on the opposite side of the carrier unit (where there are no screw holes), there's about an inch or so of gap between the carrier and the underside of the car. Is this correct? Other than that everything's fine. The winch worked okay and the spare wheel is now lodged firmly under the car. Thanks for any help you can give. Steve.
  2. Thank you Matt for the quick response. I'll check those topics you've recommended. Cheers, Steve.
  3. Hi, Apologies if this has been asked many times before but I've purchased a new Spare Wheel Carrier for my Galaxy (early 2006 model) to replace the one that my garage had removed because it had rusted to nothing. I thought I'd buy the part through the Ford employee scheme and save a few bob but the spare part comes with no fitting instructions or screws/bolts to install the thing with. Can anybody help with the fitting instructions? I can see where it fits but not quite how it fits! Thanks for any help people can provide. Cheers, Steve.
