  1. Thanks very much all, I will have a look at the wiring and the lock repair kit. I will check with a locksmith about the key. For now it seems happy to start on the flat key. If I use the flat key for a while does that cause any problems or will it just keep starting with the flat key until I have the other one fixed.
  2. Hi All, After trolling round the site for a couple of hours I am super impressed at the help and advice that is on this forum. I have a couple of problems I would like help with please. I have a v reg ford galaxy 2.3 105k miles and love it. My first problem is today the car would not start and the immobilser light is flashing when you turn the key, from looking around the site I found out this is a problem lots of people have had but on openeing my key there is no chip yet it has worked for the last 2 years. Does that mean my key is one of the types without the fall out chip? If so can I just reprogram the key and it will work or replace the battery? If it helps the car starts with the spare flat key no problem but this leads to my second problem. My second problem came about when I could not find my key fob (before the above incident) and I unlocked the car from the passenger side with the spare key the entire lock just fell out when I pulled the key out. Are these easy enough to replace or is it expensive and worth leaving? Third problem has to do with 2 other doors on the car, the passenger door behind the driver stopped locking and is always unlocked(I should be happy its jammed unlocked). Any ideas on how to fix this? The other lock is the boot lock it is always locked and only unlocks with the key. Unfortunetly the car is getting on a bit but I can't replace it until next year so would love to deal with these little problems now and run it for another year. Any help is greatly appreciated and welcomed. If I have missed out any information that you may need to help just ask and I will try and proved it. Thanks for reading and helping if you can.
