Hello all. I'm a brand new member - and owner! For years I did without a car at all, I'd cycle or use the train. Then I started live action roleplay as a hobby and things got a lot more difficult, so eventually when my dad decided he didn't need his little Rover 100 I bought it off him. It did me three years of being packed to the gills and touring the country, but it sadly died last weekend - just before I needed to travel with a pile of stuff to see family over Christmas. I looked around about a zillion classified ads for a replacement and decided to go bigger to enable luggage shifting more easily. Eventually, while looking at Ford estates some Galaxys showed up and after a bit of investigation I decided that was exactly what I needed. I secured a deal on Tuesday, two hours after the autotrader ad went live. I paid up last night, and tomorrow I'm going to tax and re-register it (it's listed as a disabled vehicle right now, so it's a trip to the dvla). I'm a little nervous - it's quite a size difference and I have to travel through some pretty heavily used London roads to take it home. I have a nasty feeling it's not going to fit in my garage, either. But it's quite exciting, too. So, yeah... That's me. Hello!
