My 1998 Sharan came with no roof bars . I could do with some to attach cross bars to. Havent noticed other vehicles this age with bars so far. Anyone know the answer? My tow bar is has important part missing , the detachable tow ball / arm . The tow Bar is type 321 330 Westfalia . Ill need to get a second hand one of these before going anywhere. Ive bought an old caravan 1972 model Eriba Pan from Holland and am wondering what type wiring socket to fit on the Sharan . 12 s or 12 n ? 7 pin and will it be necessary and how to adjust towing height or not?

Glad to be a new member,and hope its ok that i dont have a Galaxy but VW Sharan 1.8 T ,1998 Trend sport 20v. With a Gas conversion . just in process of fitting a Westfalia Tow bar 321 330 from "Stand Virtual "site in Portugal ,which i got cheap because the detachable tow ball part is missing ( i hear some get stolen !) . A bit apprehensive about tackling the job of fitting as lots of bits need to be removed first including bumper and exhaust heat shield and that spare tyre looks as if its in the way . Noticed a helpful description of how to fit one on this forum but to view videos i needed to join up . So here i am , the question is shall i do it myself , or chicken out and get my garage to fiddle around for me ? Can i hack it?what could i do wrong ? Is it the correct tow bar for a start ? Now im gonna watch those helpful videos and ask around for my missing tow ball / arm thingy. Aidan B .
