  1. Brillient post with FULL PICTURED instuctions: http://www.volkswagenforum.co.uk/f68/how-replace-front-heater-blower-resistor-7945.html
  2. Thank you very much for that, I will replace and let you know my findings. I found this online for anybody with the same issue: "If you drop the glovebox down and remove the cover at the top you get access to the blower unit which has the resistor pack attached to the left side by a single srew (ford type - not flat or philips!). Initially it looks like a green connector onto the blower unit (sealed) but the green connector is actually part of the resistor unit and is removeable. If you have climate control the resistor pack will be red." Regards.
  3. Hello all, I have a problem with my MK2 Ford Galaxy 2002 Diesel. Basically, when I turn the heater to "Level 1" or "Level 2", it does nothing. However when I put it to "Level 3" or "Level 4", it blasts out hot air. So the heater works, but I have to keep it on "Level 3" or "Level 4". Could it be the temperature contol unit (like the unit in the attached picture) which needs replacing? See attached picture. Regards.
  4. Hello all, In the recent snow, my Ford Galaxy MK2 2002 wouldn't start. I had the battery replaced, which fixed that issue. When the battery was being replaced, a few sparks flew. I thought nothing of it at the time. Since the battery's been changed, wierdly the Odometer (where the current mileage is displayed) does not work. The backlight comes on when the lights are switched on, however, no text in the small odometer screen. The rest of the speedometer/revs-meter/fuel-gage/temperature etc all works fine. Just the text on the Odometer is not displayed. Anybody else have the same issue? Any quick-fix tips? Regards, Habzy
  5. One last question, is there any fob available which lets you simply lock/unlock the car remotely? As I dont mind using the key I already have to start the engine, I just dont like entering the key to lock/unlock the car every friggin time. Thanks, All help/replies MUCH appreciated!!
  6. What do you mean by "both at the same time"? I would think that the key I have does not have a chip in it, since it has no buttons??
  7. So is the link I provided to the eBay ad the right one?
  8. Have a look at this, similar problem: http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?/topic/24942-replacment-key-for-ford-galaxy/
  9. Hello everyone. I have just bought a Ford Galaxy 2002 (51 reg) 1.9TD Diesel Red car. I only received the V5 logbook, MOT with it. I also received ONE key (pictures are attached of the current key I have). I beleive it is the spare key. At the moment, everytime I use the car, I have to manually lock/unlock the car, which is very annoying as I should be able to do it remotely by clicking a button on the key. So I need a replacment key. Now because I have never had the original key for the car, I am totally confused at what key I should have, what frequancy and with what buttons. I found this on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290785423972 (5WK4 790/97/98 - 433.92MHz). Am I looking at the right key? If so, what do I do to program this key to lock/unlock my car? Can somebody point me in the right direction? Thank You, Habz
