  1. yeah was pulled out fully, lasted nearly 3 years so cant be due to that, we tried pulling it out again and refitting and spraying with wd40 but no joy. ive put a universal one on so i can use car over weekend, as main dealers cant get one til monday. shall check vw out before buying one though thanks for that. my galaxy must of been built on a nightshift or friday lol had loads of common faults i.e fuel relay, wiper linkage and wiring loom in boot broke to name but a few. thinking of getting rid of it had that many problems
  2. changed brake light switch less than 3 years ago and done just over 20,00 miles and its gone again. surely they should last longer than that. has anyone else had the same problem ? it is a geniune ford part as we tried the universal ones last time only to find they dont last long as they are slightly shorter. its really driving me crazy think ford should replace them free of charge as its a common fault
  3. hi , thanks for that hubby has been playing bumper cars with a lorry in our a3 since i posted this hence the delay. it is the alternator belt, however its not broke just came offand no sign of any wear at all strange. mechanic has had a quick look cant find a fault with tensioner or pulley, he is coming tonight with a new belt and says he will check it all as he fits it , thinks maybe it was just a case of one of them has worked lose. could this be the case?
  4. hubby came out of work this morning turned engine on pulled out of parking space and battery light came on and power steering didnt seem to work and then came a squeling noise , parked back up turned off engine and now it wont turn back on any ideas?
