  1. It's going to be a long process I think all the wiring seems ok so time to start looking for leaks.
  2. Hi my 2001 galaxy 2.8 v6 auto has developed a problem after it has warmed up on long journey, It feels under powered and epc light comes on and it enters limp home mode. The fault reads mass air flow implausible signal I have replaced the MAF but it has had no effect still getting the same problem if anything the new MAF made it worse. I also seem to have a misfire at around 1500 rpm and a delay when I press the throttle followed but a sucking noise like its gasping for breath Was hoping some one on here might be able to point me in the right direction as to what could be the cause of this as its driving me nuts. Could the misfire be causing the implausible signal error?
  3. Problem turned out not to be the inhibitor but the electric cable from the battery to the gearbox inhibitor. It runs right beside the gear selector and was rubbing causing it to short out. Cable replaced now starting much better. Thanks again for your advice.
  4. Thanks for the advice but looks like on the mk2 its been moved, the only thing under the trim it the locking solenoid. I guess it must be on the gearbox where the cable goes in, which I'm sure will be a pig to get to. If it carries on might just run a cable and button from battery to the starter. Thanks again :(
  5. Hi all looks like a great forum. I have a 2001 galaxy 2.8 auto which I love, despite the huge fuel bills and a few other annoying hiccups which I hope to resolve. Thanks in advance for any advice I get.
  6. Hi My 2001 2.8 auto Galaxy has a problem with the starter inhibitor, need to rock the leaver back and forth to start some times works first time some times not. I was hoping one of you wonderful people would be able to point me in the right direction to fixing this, or maybe bypassing the inhibitor for the time being. Any help would be much appreciated
