Thanks for the reply but I think I have solved it. Something to do with the child locks been on or off. I did look in FAQs to start with but didn't seem to be specific to what I was looking for. Thanks again. The Teacher

Hi, I am new on here and also new to Ford cars. I have just been given a W (2000 reg) Ford Galaxy Zetec 2.3 but without an owners manual. The problem I have is that the two passenger (middle) doors do not seem to lock with the central locking. The front doors and the boot do, but to lock the middle doors I have to depress the handles from the inside. I appreciate that there are several threads on here regarding central locking but none seem to offer a solution without getting really technical. Although I am a science teacher I know nothing about car electrics! Also is there anyway to get a manual without having to go to a German registered website to pay for a PDF version.
