I managed to spill battery acid on my (blue) carpet - burnt a hole in it, but managed to get a replacement from a scrap yard. stupidly I chose the hottest day of that summer to take out the old and fit the new on -All those clip the seats go in to!!!! It was like carpeting a greenhouse. My tip - get some off cuts from your local carpet shop and don't pick a hot, sunny day. Any help??

Not sure this will help but I have had a similar problem - The lock on the drivers door just spins - I have to activate and deactivate the central locking by using either the boot or the passenger door. The drivers door will open then. I had a spate of issues which I have always thought were caused by the wires cracking on the door pillar (drivers side). Interestingly my airbag warning light is constantly on, but I had been told it was something to do with constantly moving the drivers seat?? (My wife and I share the car). Can't offer a solution but glad it's not just me.

Is it fixable - or is it broke. I'm fed up scratching my head

Glad I read this - My Galaxy 2.8 v6 starts but then cuts out after 2-3 seconds. I had AA home start out and they said it was either the immobiliser, transponder or the fuel pump!! It's in the garage now and they're struggling as well. Is this the (infamous) "relay 30"?
