How Do You Program The Key Fob To A 2007 Galaxy ?

Hi ya, Sorry, I'm still a little unclear if I have to have two programmed keys for a Galaxy MK3 (2010) as post 9 and 10 seem ambiguous. I have one original key and was planning to buy a blank (with electrics). Would the instructions above work with just one working key (can't see anything in the instructions that suggests otherwise?)
