Now here is a tip for you all with problems with these. I have been suffering problems with these off and on the last year one after the other failing to work. I been searching ebay etc for them. But the other day looking at a friends rover found the sensors on galaxy are the same just different plug. So i investegated further. I bought 4 brand new ones for a transit connect off ebay. Plugs different so cut one down soldered 3 wires on and matched up with the wires on the existing plug one car. top to top left to left right to right. Got in and there we went all working again. so try it even bmw and jag ones the same manufacturer.

Help Help Help the cold stuff here and today frosten over found out my heated fron screen doesnt work the switch lights up i can hear a relay click but nothing checked fuses all ok any ideas. Where are the connector on the screen ill check they got power. Also at -5 degrees this morning my booster heater didnt work first time i been out in it at low temp but took 40 miles before it hit normal running temp. is it usually just a glow plug change. many thanks martin

i on the road all day every and had a itrip and found as you move through areas the frequancy of radio stations changes and you get interference where as the new kit link above i posted once the ipod is connected to it cuts of the external ariel and enables you to get perfect sound all time with no interference. trust me it 1 million times better.

check out connects two rf ipod kit it brilliant. you disconnect your ariel plug it into the box the ariel cable from from the box plus it into stereo connect the red wire on it to switched live. and you can get a cradle or if not it comes with a basic lead. the rf kit cost me off ebay

ok start from sratch. didnt work had it gassed display stopped flashing. but still not working compressor clicking in but no cold air. ok me thinks vavle closed so today i have change the three way pressure vavle and the thermostatic control vavle re gased it still no cold air it isnt leaking as after three weeks from last gas it still got 700 gms in it. did it on the merc air con gasser at the merc garage my brother works at. only thing i can think is now there is a blockage. I was going to change the condenser driers element but how the heck do you get it out. removed the surclip but it aint wanting to come out. many thanks martin

tried that dont work but my service indicator didnt go away. plus mine is on the trip computer not the speedo

how do i reset my service message from my trip computer

filled it with 750gms removed 710gms Checked it this morning still no flashing display think i have a shut vavle or solenoid stuck as you can hear the compressor cutting it

this may of already been covered but without reading many many posts. Here is the situation my cc aint worked since i brought the car 4 weeks ago. No gas in it. Today i took it to merc garage which my brother works at to re gas it. we recovered 60g of gas which aint good but not bad. Then vac ed out the system for 30 mins and refilled with 750g of gas. compressor cuts in but not cold air. So draiined the system and re did it and still no cold air. So fully check every piece of pipework under the bonnet with the uv pen and yellow specs no leaks. Got the sniffer on it couldnt sniff anything any ideas. Checked the fuses and all ok. now im stuck. i have 4 granada alloys with good 205 5016 tyres on were on my galaxy but just sold it. Also have ford swan neck towbar brand new was fitted to my galaxy 3 days before i brought my mk2 galaxy so removed it before selling it. Also last on all have a ford 2007 headunit and 2040 cd player to fill both the slots in the dash on mk1 galaxys with codes and wiring and working with iso plugs on so plug them in and go offers on them all mail me at martinrst@hotmail.com. im in stafford

ok got my galaxy home now the parkings sensors make all sorts of noises but dont work. Checked round them 3 at work tick 3 at back tick. so 2 faulty. so i have put one of the working front ones in the rear so 4 working ones at rear but still bleeping and light on switch flashing. do all 8 have to be working before it works properly or is there a way of linking them out so i can have 2 at front and 4 at rear

if anyone has any please let me know i need two. or i going to fit a ebay set which are good but cant be arsed to pull carpets up to run cables

how do you remove them on a mk2

i have fitted them to my company car and with the lcd display they show where the obstickle is and distance to it

for all yous with reversing sensors that have packed up i have a easy resolve for the problem. fit these ebay item 5845116239 it has a lcd display and far better than ford ones and fit in the existing holes in bumpers.

try hic or adrian flux tell the you a club member and read ford mags and attend shows they knock 5% OFF FOR EACH YOU SAY. There like mods on cars too i had a escort rs2k 4x4 everyone wanted 1000 insurance on it i got 350 full comp with hic and i was 21 at the time only 25 now

thing is the old man works for ford and brother works for merc. Now thw 1.9 tdi engine also fitted to loads of mercs so aircon pump aint a problem. Regassing also aint a problem as every merc seems to has aircon so it already booked in for a freebie on that. But with warrenty you cant go wrong. they usually only cover major parts only no battery clutch brakes in fact 95% only seem to cover the engine and drive train am i correct

many thanks found several mk2 diesels in my price range but i got to sell my mk1 2.0

i thinking of changing my 2.0 manual galaxy and getting a diesel. But with 5500 to spend do i get a mk1 or mk2 one what you you do
