  1. It sounds like this could be the problem. I put this query on a few forums and the general consensus seems to be flexi hoses so will be giving it a go this weekend. Will report back with my findings Thanks for your reply Brian :)
  2. Yep. The car has been making a creaking/knocking type of noise for just over a week. It was diagnosed as worn discs by a local independent and on inspection I found the discs had a groove worn into the back side on both the n/s and o/s. I swapped the discs and pads and yet the problem is still there. I noticed this morning the discs were very hot after a short journey and when I jacked it up I could feel the resistance straight away. Thanks for your reply Chris :)
  3. Hello - Sorry my first post is a cry for help but here goes... :) Both the front calipers on my 2005 Alhambra are sticking and binding. I replaced the discs and pads last week as they had a fairly deep groove worn in them and its still doing it. Spent today cleaning the calipers and greasing the guide pins etc but they are still binding. Just wondering if its likely to be the master cylinder - letting the fluid flow out to push the pistons out but not allowing it to return. Does this sound like a solution before I go lashing money I don't have out on it? Is there a way of testing a master cylinder? TIA :)
