  1. The driver seat is not working right. The tilt function is fine as is the height adjustment. But the movement of moving closer to the wheel doesnt work. Any tips? Maybe, remove fuse, anything to do with any relays? Cheers, Andy
  2. I have a 58 plate 2.0 manual. My OBC tells me 44 but I think its probably about 42 when checking by using the fill up to fill method. This is on nearly 400 miles of M1, A14 and M11. I dont trust the OBC. But I do drive at 77 on the motorway and its such a big car that I cant really expect a huge amount out of it. I think that if I dropped to about 65 mph then I would get 50+ but lifes too short. It would be nice to have a few more miles .
  3. Yes, this is correct. There is a gap despite the seats being that far back.
  4. Depends what gear you were in at the time. I have had this kind of thing. I have a 2.0 TDCI and if I hit resume on the cruise control (when in say 6th at 60 and with a heavy load), the car seems to stop accelerating back up the predetermined speed. Perhaps its a protection thing. I know mine is with the cruise control on and your situation may be without cruise on. With yours being a 1.8 and having 6 people up, it may be this, or just a slight flat spot. I also have a Mk3 Mondeo and have on occasion had a flat spot at around 60 or so.
  5. Appears the part was replaced in May so it should be under warranty. Hopefully will resolve it.
  6. Couldnt find the kind of thing that you meant. This morning its going to a garage to be looked at. I have a warranty with the car so hopefully covers it. Will report back.
  7. Yeah, I do know what you mean, will look tomorrow. Cheers again
  8. Thanks Saif. Where should I look? Is it door side or by the hinge?. Cheers.
  9. Well, thats what the Information light keeps saying. The door is shut, I have been shutting car doors for 19 years so I know how to shut a car door. This also means that whenh I try to arm it, it wont as it thinks the door is open. Door lock solenoid? What about sensors? Any ideas?
  10. Ok, looked at it again. How does it fit in? Mine has a metal spring clip in the bottom. Does the metal part of the seat belt clip fit in at 90 degrees to this? Cos that dont look right. Anyone got a photo?
  11. ok, thanks. Do you mean the seat belt clip that you can just see to the right or is there an anchor thats on the boot floor? I should be able to work it out.
  12. In the middle there. I somehow managed not to attached the file. Doh..... :glare:
  13. I did attach an image...Will try again.
  14. As above, whats this? Its from the boot area just on the window sill. Its the recess with the metal clips that I am looking at. It looks to me that something should clip in? There is one on the other side also. Cheers
  15. I spoke to my local Ford and they said that if you cant see the option to set it up, Bluetooth, then it aint got it! If it aint got it, then it cant be retrofitted as such, thats the impression i got. I hope this guy was wrong though..... Nowmar, When you got yours done, did your car already have Bluetooth? And do you know how they "did it"
  16. Depends IF it is meant to have Bluetooth. I have the DVD nav system and AFAIK it doesnt have bluetooth, depends if it was built in from brand new.
  17. Thanks for this. According to the Ford brochure it meets some ECE directive. Maybe this is 15kg load at the speed you mention. Maybe the dog guard is the way to go. Need to have a think. Did you get this fitted to yours then? Was it a faff? Or easy to do?
  18. Thanks, I have seen this. I know its a lot but with a growing family and holidays it appears the only option to ensure that stuff doesnt come forward from the boot space in case of accident/heavy braking etc. Makes the packing of stuff more stable.
  19. There was a post about this from a couple of years ago but as a new Galaxy owner I am going to get one for those big holidays. The item number is 1384455. Has anyone got one? Did you fit it yourself or did you get Fords to fit? Cost for fitting etc? On My 03 Mondeo I got the Ford dog guard £160 or so, even though I dont have a dog. This was the metal bar type, so this Galaxy Net type looks a lot more practical in that I can have it in the car and take it down without having to store the thing in my garage. Love to here who has one. Thanks
  20. Maybe this thread answers my question. http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?/topic/24239-how-to-upgrade-bluetooth-firmware-no-usb-port/ Anyone else confirm?
  21. Hi all, first post, as I have just taken delivery of an 09 Galaxy Ghia. ;) I am usually on TalkFord with my Mondeo's, well, only one now. I have the Ford Navigation system, I have a pin code with the handbook that references FDC200, is this the model? I also have a Blaupunkt navigation case Well, so far so good but when I try to pair my Mobile, HTC Wildfire, and I go to the Menu, it doesn't give an option for Bluetooth. I have options for most of the other stuff but not this. Does this mean that its not possible? Or do I need to do an update of software somehow? I also cant find the USB slot in the glovebox which may be ominous.... I have voice control button on the indicator stalk if that helps in narrowing down what system I have. I have looked on the ford mobile compatibility web which show my model of head unit and phone which lead me to think that it should be there. Cheers, Andy
