:( I am sick and fed up of my galaxy at the moment, it seems to be one thing after another and seriously thinking of getting rid. Just back from a hot hot Portugal with it and guess what... yep the air con failed as we were driving through France, the air con is manual and was taking a good 5 to 10 minutes to cool but now when the dial is on cool nothing changes, yet when I move the dial to hot it heats up straight away :( Has anyone got any ideas what the problem may be?? Hi any help and advice would be much appreciated please, on breaking there is a screeching noise, only happens on breaking and at no other time. I have had both sets of pads cleaned and it still continues? Its a 1999 2.3 zetec. Any ideas please. Regards Jane :lol:

Using the key in the drivers side will open all doors except the passenger side door.the rear passenger side door will also open. When i put the key in passenger side it just turns from side to side but wont open or do anything in fact ;) If it needs stripping and new parts what is the minimum price I will be looking at??

Help please :lol: We have a 1999 zetec galaxy with NO remote central locking just key open central locking. Went to open the car this morning both driver side and passenger side were frozen, the key got stuck in the passenger side, I managed to get key out but as of this afternoon the passenger side door will not open at all, any door infact. The central locking is only working from drivers side BUT will still NOT open the driver side door. I am now at the end of my tether so any help will be greatly appreciated as to any ideas please :lol:

I have had 2 new fortuna tyres fitted today on my Zetec but they dont say reinforced only XL (think it means xtra load) is this the correct fit or not??? Regards Jane

Yes it does, but I still think its a bit steep.

Took the Galay in for a service, decided not to go to main dealers in Stoke on Trent so went to Formula1 autocentres http://www.f1autocentres.co.uk/ When I came to collect the car they said it needed new rear break pads and discs, a complete exhaust and that the CV gator had perished. Total price for the work just over

I did it-thanks to all your help!!! The contact points were not that grotty but-I found a bit of metal looked like some part of an allen key and that was the whole problem, now all is well. Keep up the good work guys and girls :o

Thanks, I will take out the seat and clean the fixing points etc and have a good look at the seat. Will let you know how I go on

Hi I wondered if any1 had any ideas about this: For the first time I decided to pull out the back seats which I managed with no problem and also manages to get them back in!! The right middle seat is a total different story altogether though - The seat will clip in on the left side but wont at all go into the right side so its not safe to sit in as its very wobbly. I have put up a few pics to show you what I mean
