ok, just double checked all the wires and everything is fine, battery clamps all nice and tight and all fuses working too. ive done the central locking reset programme by switching ignition on and of 4 times and now the central locking works only from the drivers door switch but not with the key or fob from outside. ive also tried the fob key programming by turning the drivers door lock 3 times in the unlock position but the led in the door still doesnt light up. i reckon ive just gotta keep trying the fob programming and see how it goes thanks everyone

thanks for the advice i think i need to programme central locking first and then the key fob using the programme mode. all was well until car battery was changed over. thanks.

hi guys newbie here ive got a 1.9tdi 2002 ford galaxy i recently replaced the car battery as it was old and needed changing, ever since the battery change the centrol locking is out of sync, i cant open my doors with the remote fob and when using the key only the drivers door opens, i have to manually open all the other doors by hand. the remote key fob and the black ford key were all working fine until the car battery change. any help would be appreciated thankss guys
