  1. Can't believe that our log book means absolutely nothing it aint worth the paper its stamped on the ford garage in southampton have no record of our vehicle ever going into their workshop but we have a log book that tells us it was serviced and stamped by them? and its got nothing to do with Ford apparently we would have to take it up with owners that we brought it from??? any thoughts
  2. Thank you for your reply, so when you pulled the threads did you manage to get it back in and do it up but not to the correct torque? as this what ford have managed to do this is the bit i am scratching my head at, as i dont have experience with mechanical issues and now a year on another ford garage have had ago at the oil change but couldnt get the plug out its is now just sppinning which it wasnt doing before as we had it checked after they said new sump required by someone else and they managed to show us that it was on tight enough for it not to leak unlike what i had been scared with by ford who said in a couple of days that will start leaking?
  3. Thank you for your replies, we live in dorset, a garage near by have quoted to re thread, its just annoying that the buck gets passed and no one is to blame, ive been told that the service engineer remembers doing my service last year and the first thing he noticed was my broken air con compressor? but i could swear blind its was fine when it went in but hes as honest as you get and i am what? so this is why there were not having my car back this year as i knew no-one would be at fault but they apparently wanted to re install my faith in them and now i have a galaxy with oil leaking on my drive as thay could not undo the thread on the sump? and now it just spins when a spanner is put on it? even though the ford garage from last years service says the torque was not to full torque required? as apparently some of the thread came out when they removed it hense they said a new sump was required but we had it inspected and was told it would not leak and new sump would not be required and that the air con was a fresh break and still silver in colour, sorry long winded but its good to be able to air it as today has left me wounded and i could write more <_<
  4. Just been informed that its a common problem that the sump tank can go on the thread just wanted to know if everybody else has had the same problem when they've had their 8th service done, oh and air con compressor broke!
