The garage has said he is going to send a cheque to cover half the cost, so lets see if he does or not. Still not solved the problem off the dvd players not working, checked all fuses and still no idea lol.

Pulled fuse out and it has stopped the smoke blowing out, but obvioulsly it is there for a reason so i need to solve it rather than just taking a fuse out as its must have its purpose. I cannot find any more info on this topic, any help out there?

Locking problem solved. Had a mobile auto locksmith come out to my house, the actual handle lock mechanism had fallen apart so he put it together and programmed a new key. So the central locking now works and i also have a spare key, not bad

Hi ppl, i have a problem. Started the car today and saw i bit off greyish smoke, just thought it was from start up off the car. Was driving down the street and noticed quite alot off smoke coming from a exhaust well i think it is anyway, its near the back wheel its a thin pipe. Was a awful lt off smoke, but after 5-10mins it stopped. I have a galaxy ghia 1.9 tdci if that helps, many thanks

Hi thanks for your help. I think i have explained properlly whats goin on, but iile just go through it again incase. Car will not lock with key in drivers door, have to lock via boot. But once locked there is a odd noise and drivers door does not lock but red light flashes, all doors lock but if i open drivers door alarm goes off. When im inside car and try and push drivers handle to lock makes odd noise, locks all doors besides drivers. So what do i need to do/purchase to solve this problem. Only have 1 key which i got off dealer that hes had cut, starts and locks via boot but thats it. Thanks for your help

Bought my first ever ford today, a 2003 galaxy ghia 19 tdi 115. I think i had a pritty good deal, what you think. 2003, 115k miles, 2 brand new michelin's fitted today, new front discs and pads fitted today, rear calipers and pads fitted today, had full service today, 12 months mot,dvd's in headrest, 15months warranty.. Hi ppl, just bought my first galaxy today a 2003 ghia 1.9 tdi 115. First off all garage i bought it off had lost keys so had a key made up, so i do not have a key fob to lock/unlock car. I have to lock car using the boot, if that makes any sense what would i need to get/buy to fix problem. Car has dvd players fitted in headrests, they do not turn on player accepts dvd but nothing on screen and tips? Many thanks in advance

Hi Ppl, im after buying a galaxy due to needing a 7 seater. Im just hoping for some advice on buying one. Ive been looking at the mk3 i think it is, around 2004?? Seen a few a like i think they were the ghia,it had climate control heaters instead off the turning dials. What is the best to go for i.e ghia/lx etc, i would prefer leather seats. I will be needing a tdi as i do quite alot off mileage. Also is there anything i should keep a eye out for when going to buy one, as i sold my car yesterday so i will be purchasing one next week. Please help as im totally stuck in what to get, Many thanks in advance.
