Hi, I changed the MAF sensor yesterday. Running perfect now. Just my luck for it to play up at the same time as changing the turbo. Thanks for the replies Barry

Hi, thanks for the replies. I have had the vehicle on the ramp today and looked at the turbo actuator rod. When the vehichle starts it is sucked in at tickover. When we the rev the vehicle it moves slightly as you release the throttle. I had an 05 touran in today with the same engine, slightly diferent turbo set up. When watching the rod on this vehicle it did the same, hopefully ruling out a vacum problem? The touran would rev free from 900 rpm with what sounds like the turbo kicking in straight away. The galaxy is pretty non reponsive and sounds laboured until around 1900 rpm when the turbo kicks in? many thanks Barry

Hi, I have got a problem y reg galaxy with the 1.9 diesel AUY engine. We just changed the turbo as the arm was sticking. This corrected the original fault which I believe is quite common. The problem we have now is a lack of power until the turbo comes in? I would almost say it is dangerous, pulling out of junctions etc? We have changed the 2 vacum solenoids on the bulkhead but no improvement. I have also plugged it in with no faults codes showing up? Has anyone else encountered this problem please? thanks Barry
