Well I have a few problems , these galaxies seem to have a mind of their own !!! 1. The temperature gauge goes up and down at will making the engine race on, tickover ? 2. The interior lights come on at will when I am driving and hazards flash which is a bit annoying. 3. when the car is locked and I pull on driver door handle slightly the interior lights come on and don't go off! 4. The remote control for locking/unlocking works now and then ? can anyone help 2002 TDI115 GHIA BV6

Once in a while the tick over runs above one thousand revs and drops back again any ideas ? cause it annoying and costs more

mine does the same thing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd but only changing up seems to get better when engine heats up.....................

Well the other day coming home my turbo wasn't working and had difficulty going over 2000revs but since I have had no problems , sometimes a littlehiccup in second when pulling away gently

When cold and changing gears between 2-3-4 there is is a strange whirring sound almost like a kids giggle. When theengine is warm it goes away or can be heard ever so slightly in second. The garage said oh its nothing as usual !!

cheers El , I bought it second hand recently with 86000 Km on the clock I'm just not sure wether the previous owner was too a bit too brutal with the old gear changes.............

Thanks for that, it doesn't seem too bad although its annoying cos you tend to change the gears slower from 2nd to third....

I have a galaxy TDI115 BV6 and the gears crunch into second and third on the way up when cold. Anybody have any ideas ? is this serious ?
